If you're into jazz then you probably recognize the man. For nearly two decades he's been one of the heavy hitters in the world of jazz. For nearly two decades he's been the pianist, arranger and contributing composer with Grammy award winning Dave Valentin.
In between gigs with Dave Valentin (his family band) Bill has worked and continues to work and perform with many other Great Jazz Artists; Jon Lucien, Mongo Santamaria, Chet Baker, Kenny Rankin, Sonny Rollins, Fort Apache Band, Gato Barbieri, Astrud Gilberto, Conrad Herwig, Charles Fambrough... to name a few.
In between the in betweens Bill O'Connell (Steinway Artist) has made the time for his solo work. Bill has been teaching jazz piano privately for the past 25 years and has taught at Rutgers University. He is currently offering piano lessons to the jazz enthusiasts of all levels. Over 100 of Bill's original compositions have been recorded by various artists and he has also composed soundtracks for television programs that have appeared on NBC and PBS.
